Roommate Matching Policy

Roommate matching is done as a courtesy, and while most matches result in wonderful friendships, success is not guaranteed. If, during the tour, you decide you would no longer like to share a room with your roommate, you will need to request (and pay for) a single room at all accommodations. This can be shared between the two people in the room if it is a mutual decision. If you are a very light sleeper or snore, you may want to consider getting your own single room.

Fairbanks Hotel

The Fairbanks Hotel is situated in the largest city of Alaska’s interior region, offering 400 spacious rooms with breathtaking views of the White Mountains.

Guests can dine at the Northern Latitudes restaurant, where fine food is complemented by northern lights-inspired art. Indulge in Alaskan cuisine amidst the restaurant’s artistic ambiance, featuring an aurora waterfall, unique lighting, and photography inspired by the stunning Northern Lights. The restaurant also offers a breakfast buffet from 6 am to 10 am, allowing guests to start their day with a delicious meal in a captivating setting.

 

McKinley Chalet Resort

McKinley Chalet Resort is conveniently located just one mile from the entrance of Denali National Park, nestled in a fragrant spruce forest, providing guests with a secluded and tranquil atmosphere. The lower lodge rooms offer serene views along the river, while the upper rooms boast stunning views of the river. Guests can take advantage of the hotel’s shuttle service, which provides easy access to the wilderness area, Denali visitor center, and the Alaska Railroad depot. Additionally, the hotel lobby features various exhibits and park programs, enriching guests’ knowledge of the park and offering information about on-site tour pickups.

Karstens Public House offers casual dining with a tavern-style eatery and a comfortable atmosphere, accentuated by breathtaking views of Mt. Healy, Denali National Park, and the Nenana Canyon. Guests can savor Alaskan-inspired dishes such as smoked brisket, bacon-wrapped bison meatloaf, caribou burgers, and more, along with a selection of twelve local brews on tap, cocktails made with Alaskan spirits, or a smoked salmon bloody Mary.

The Canyon Steakhouse provides fine dining with a focus on Alaskan seafood and an exceptional wine selection. Diners can enjoy dry-aged steaks, perfectly prepared Alaskan seafood, and a variety of locally crafted beer, wine, or the signature explorers martini. End the meal with unique desserts like banana foster crème brulee or Chuli Stout chocolate mousse. Guests can also experience the Music of Denali Dinner Theater in the evenings, featuring the first ascent of Denali.

Grizzly Grind, a specialty coffee shop, offers Starbucks coffee and fresh pastries, open from 5 am to 9 pm, providing the perfect start or end to your day.

Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge

Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge is perched above the charming town of Talkeetna, offering breathtaking views of North America’s tallest peak. The lodge features 212 comfortable and spacious rooms, each offering scenic forest views. Guests can take advantage of the shuttle service to and from downtown Talkeetna. In the lodge’s great room, guests can cozy up by the 46-foot river rock fireplace or browse a selection of Native art from villages across Alaska.

Base Camp Bistro provides a casual dining experience that is family-friendly. Guests can indulge in tasty appetizers, Alaskan fish and chips, house-made meatloaf, salads, and more, available for lunch and dinner. The Base Camp Bar offers a premium selection of quality wines and cocktails.

For a fine dining experience, guests can visit Foraker Restaurant, which features wild Alaska seafood and game in an elegant setting with panoramic views of Denali and the Alaskan Range. The menu includes dishes such as wild Alaskan salmon, Crab Cacio E Pepe, steamed mussels, surf & turf, and more. Foraker Restaurant has been featured on the Food Network and has received the Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence” every year for the past decade.

Guests can also enjoy the RAW Alaska Oyster Bar, offering stunning views and samples of fresh Alaskan seafood. Additionally, Mt Hunter Coffee Co, located in the lobby, serves coffee, tea, and grab-and-go meals.

Hotel Captain Cook

Hotel Captain Cook, situated in downtown Anchorage, offers 546 meticulously designed rooms, catering to the needs of every traveler. Fletcher’s offers a dining experience in a classic English pub setting, serving Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner. Guests can choose to sit at the bar or opt for full-service dining, with takeout options also available. The menu includes favorites like Calamari Fritti, Alaskan Halibut, Lasagna Bolognese, and more. Fletcher’s is open daily from 11:30 am to 12 am, with dining service ending at 11 pm.

The hotel also features separate athletic facilities for men and women, offering a workout room with cardio machines and weights, steam room, sauna, and locker room. Additionally, a shared facility is available with Peloton bikes, swimming pool, aerobic room, and exercise room. Guests looking for souvenirs can explore one of the 12 gift shops located on the premises.

Gateway Hotel

Gateway Hotel, conveniently located in Seward, is nestled between the Seaward boat harbor and downtown, offering a shuttle service to popular local destinations. Aspen Hotel and Suites

Aspen Suites Hotel Homer is situated near the stunning Kachemak Bay, offering easy access to downtown dining and wilderness adventures. FAQ's

Through our own clients and networking clubs we have realized a general desire for women to travel but they don’t always have a companion. We developed the Women’s Travel Club for these women to have a fun and safe group to travel with. We offer a wide range of destinations, so that there is something for everyone.

We have women of all ages, with the average being 45 to 65 years. However, we do have regular travelers anywhere from 30 years to over 80 years of age.

We do not include international flights in the price of our tours. Not including the cost of international flights in the cost of the tour allows members the flexibility to get the flight schedule, price and class of service that best suits them. The Women's Travel Club flight desk will be happy to help arrange your international flights.

Yes, we always negotiate the best possible single supplement rate for our trips. Single spots fill quickly and may be limited so we suggest you book early for a single spot.
