  • Day 2 - Hanoi at a glance

    Today we return to Hanoi to explore Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton), visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum,
    and go on a cyclo tour of the Old Quarter.
    We will tour the museum of Hoa Lo Prison, referred to as Hanoi Hilton by American prisoners, to learn more about the Vietnam War. Most exhibits relate to the prison’s use up to the mid-1950s, focusing on the  Vietnamese struggle for independence from France. A gruesome relic is the
    ominous French guillotine, used to behead Vietnamese revolutionaries. There are also displays focusing on the American pilots who were incarcerated at Hoa Lo during the American War.

    After the Prison, we will have a guided tour of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
    Visit the museum, Ho Chi Minh stilted house and learn about Ho Chi Minh’s life and political history.

    Take a walking tour of a Hoi An local market led by youths who have come to Oodles of Noodles to be trained in the culinary arts. This excursion will empower the kitchen youth to lead insider noodle tours in Hoi An. There are currently over 26 types of noodles in this city alone and we will
    go to the market with two students and their trainer, learn about the ingredients at the market, and
    do a tasting of the different noodles while supporting local small-business enterprises. We then pick

Through our own clients and networking clubs we have realized a general desire for women to travel but they don’t always have a companion. We developed the Women’s Travel Club for these women to have a fun and safe group to travel with. We offer a wide range of destinations, so that there is something for everyone.

We have women of all ages, with the average being 45 to 65 years. However, we do have regular travelers anywhere from 30 years to over 80 years of age.

We do not include international flights in the price of our tours. Not including the cost of international flights in the cost of the tour allows members the flexibility to get the flight schedule, price and class of service that best suits them. The Women's Travel Club flight desk will be happy to help arrange your international flights.

The weather in February for Vietnam and Cambodia is quite pleasant. The average temperature is about 27°C (80°F), which makes February an ideal month for travel. You can enjoy warm weather in southern Vietnam and Cambodia with little or no rain.
