Day 2 – July 8 – Luberon Villages and Lavender Fields

Fall under the charm of the beautiful hilltop villages of the Luberon. Enjoy a private tour from the comfort of a luxury car and
let us guide you to the most exquisite landscapes of the most beautiful region in France!

Start your tour with a ride full of lavender and poppy field views (during June and mid-July, these flowers blossom) to your first stop: Lourmarin, an ode to the authentic provencal villages. Its lively atmosphere of cafes and local shops will seduce you. No wonder Albert Camus and Winston Churchill chose this enchanting village as a place to live part of their lives.

Then, head to Domaine de Fontenille for a wine tasting and a visit to the cellars, followed by a lunch on the beautiful terrace of the Bastide of the Domaine at La Cuisine d’Amélie.

Move on to the charming village of Bonnieux, a picture-perfect Provençal village that features a 12th-century church surrounded by ancient cedars.

Later, reach the hilltop village of Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Enjoy the local market on Tuesdays and the traditional calcareous, rocky houses along the winding streets that lead to an 11th-century castle at the highest part of the hill.

Next, enjoy the ride to the iconic and picture-perfect 12th-century Sénanque Abbey, which is home to an active Cistercian community. Here, the lavender aroma invades the air! Enjoy taking amazing pictures and also visit the Monastic shop for local products. Continue your tour and make a short stop at the ‘belvedere’ with an amazing view of Bonnieux village and the Vaucluse mountains.

Day 3 – July 9 – Alpilles Villages

Discover the highlights of Provence and UNESCO sites during this private tour including the Baux de Provence medieval
hilltop village, Arles Roman and medieval city, and the Saint Remy de Provence.

You will start your visit in Eygalières and its stunning landscapes. Surrounded by superb Alpilles landscapes, the village faces vast fields of olive groves, verdant valleys and vines. Discover beautiful estates with superb, tastefully restored Mas scattered throughout this picture-postcard landscape. You will discover an extremely charming village that has retained its authentic atmosphere. Then, stop in Saint Rémy de Provence, one of the most typical and lively Provençal towns that hosts many Roman sites. While strolling quietly through its narrow and winding streets, you will come across beautiful old fountains, small, shaded squares welcoming pleasant restaurant terraces, and elegant shops.

Your chauffeur will then take you to the peaceful Saint Paul de Mausole, where Van Gogh stayed for one year and created around 150 paintings and sketches in one year. Next, reach Les Baux de Provence and its fortified castle, which offers a view of the Mediterranean. Stroll in the many art galleries and shops of the village and visit the rock-top fortress surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. Also enjoy Fontvieille, renowned for being the adopted village of Alphonse Daudet and home to the famous Daudet Windmill, the French author of «Lettres de mon Moulin».

Arles and its Roman heritage will be your last stop. It has some impressive monuments, of which the earliest are the Amphiteatre (from 1 AD), the Roman theatre and the Cryptoporticus (subterranean galleries). In the 11th and 12th centuries, Arles once again became one of the most attractive cities in the Mediterranean. Within the city walls, Saint-Trophime, with its cloister, is one of Provence’s major Romanesque monuments. Not to mention the famous Alyscamps, one of the most prestigious necropolises in the West.
