If you would like the double occupancy rate but don’t have a roommate we will match you with a suitable roommate. The single occupancy rate will give you your own room. Single occupancy may be limited. CAD = Canadian dollars. USD = United States of America dollars. Conversion to USD is approximated by current exchange rates and subject to change. You will be charged in CAD and your bank may charge a slightly different rate or fees.

Roommate Matching Policy

Roommate matching is done as a courtesy and while most matches result in wonderful friendships, success is not guaranteed. If during the tour you decide you would no longer like to share a room with your roommate you will need to request (and pay for) a single room at all accommodations. This can be shared between the two people in the room if it is a mutual decision. If you are a very light sleeper or snore you may want to consider getting your own single room.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Hotel Lido

Lido Hotel is a part of Phoenicia Hotels and it is a page in the history of Bucharest.  Located in the center of BucharestHotel Lido by Phenicia is a historical hotel dating from 1930, designed by the famous architect Ernest Doneaud.  The rooms at Hotel Lido by Phoenicia are luxuriously furnished, spacious and soundproofed, all with air conditioning. Each of them feature a desk, a flat-screen TV, a minibar and coffee and tea making facilities. Rooms are complete with a private bathroom fitted with a shower and free toiletries.

Ferma Dacilor

The Dacian farm has become in time, a place of story, where the past catches up with the present only to remind us, from time to time, that ancestral values ​​must be carefully preserved and passed on with pride.

Viscri 125

Viscri 125 is a traditional Saxon farm, built as a fortress, with the main house facing the street, continued by the annexes, and with a large wooden barn closing the main courtyard in the back. Behind the barn, the vegetable garden is continued by the orchard that climbs a gentle slope passed the creek. In time, the courtyard was joined to the one next door, at Viscri 126, and the one at Viscri 124, resulting in a generous oasis of tranquillity and greenery.

Through our own clients and networking clubs we have realized a general desire for women to travel but they don’t always have a companion. We developed the Women’s Travel Club for these women to have a fun and safe group to travel with. We offer a wide range of destinations, so that there is something for everyone.

We have women of all ages, with the average being 45 to 65 years. However, we do have regular travelers anywhere from 30 years to over 80 years of age.

We do not include international flights in the price of our tours. Not including the cost of international flights in the cost of the tour allows members the flexibility to get the flight schedule, price and class of service that best suits them. Yes, we always negotiate the best possible single supplement rate for our trips. Single spots fill quickly and may be limited so we suggest you book early for a single spot.

The average temperature range in Romania in November is between 35° and 50°F (2° and 10°C), so you'll need to bring a warm jacket. Temperatures tend to be colder in western, northern, and central Romania, and of course in the mountains, too.
