Top Ten Hotels in the World

The Women’s Travel Club tour hosts have the opportunity to travel the world and experience amazing accommodations along the way. This is the Women’s Travel Club tour host’s top ten hotels in the World. These hotels are not the most expensive or exclusive in the world but in our opinion offer some of the best experiences.

1. Tsar's Gold Train

Not a hotel at all but a luxury train. This unique rail experience takes you along the Trans-Mongolian route from Moscow, Russia to Beijing, China. A luxury hotel made of salt! This is probably one of the most unique accommodations on our list.
Located on the shores of the largest salt desert in the world, Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, Palacio de Sal is the first salt hotel in the world. From the salt flat came more than the one million blocks of salt that make up the Palace. A totally aesthetic experience is to be had in the domed rooms and suites throughout the hotel and you will always be aware of the focus on art and visuals.

Located in the county of Donegal in Ireland, Lough Eske is the epitome of everything a castle hotel should be. With a rich history dating back to the 14th century, the castle as we know it today was built in 1861. We are not the only ones who thinks this castle is one of the best. It has been named the best luxury hotel in Ireland by the Times in the UK and been one of Conde Nast’s Top Ten Luxury Hotels in Ireland for 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

9. InterContinental Resort Tahiti

The French Polynesia is famous for outstanding luxury resorts. The list of wow places is impressive and you really can’t go wrong. We chose the Intercontinental Resort Tahiti for this list as it is conveniently located in Papeete and after a long flight you need somewhere wonderful to relax before you start your Polynesian adventure.
The Intercontinental is an oasis of beautiful gardens and breathtaking views. This is a great opportunity to treat yourself to an over-water bungalow as the rate here is much lower than other resorts throughout the islands. The food and service is excellent, we recommend getting dinner at the Tiki bar for a fun and great experience.
