Arrival Details Arrive to Amsterdam – Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) – must arrive by 3:30 PM. The recommended earliest arrival time is 8:30 AM. Must be on ship by 5:00 PM for safety exercise. Ship sails at 6:00 PM. Cabins will not be available until 4:00 PM. | Departure Details Depart from Amsterdam – Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) – last operating departure transfer is by 3:30 PM. | Airport Transfers Airport transfers are not included with your tour. They may be purchased for an additional fare. Please use the form above to purchase transfers or make your way to the ship for the start of the tour. |

Visa
The Netherlands is a Schengen area country. Canadian and U.S. citizens do not need a visa for travel to countries within the Schengen area. However, visa-free travel only applies to stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Stays are cumulative and include visits to any Schengen area country.
Passport
Passports must be valid for 6 months beyond the date you expect to leave the Schengen area and have 2 blank pages.
Vaccinations
While no specific vaccinations are required, we recommend that your routine vaccinations are up to date and that you visit a local travel health clinic or doctor for advice prior to the trip. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they meet all requirements.

Weather April is a nice spring month in Amsterdam. Days are starting to get warmer with an average of 13°C (56°F). | Currency The official currency in the Netherlands is the Euro (€). 1 Euro = 100 Cents. Coins come in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 cents and 1, 2 euros and banknotes come in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 euros. ATMs are widely available. Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, restaurants and tourist destinations, though not at all the shops (except those catering to tourists, department stores, etc). Supermarkets do not accept credit cards. | Electric Outlets In the Netherlands there are two associated plug types, types C and F. Type C plugs have two round pins and type F plugs have two round pins with two earth clips on the side. The Netherlands operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. A universal all-in-one travel adapter (can be purchased from retailers like Amazon) will allow you to plug in and charge most electronic devices. Most electronic devices have built-in converters. However, if you plan to use North American appliances like hair dryers, flat irons or curling irons you will need a converter. |
