The Women’s Travel Club recommends booking flexible/refundable air tickets when possible. Please do not book flights until your tour status is guaranteed. Once your flights are booked, please enter your flight information on the pre-travel form above.

Our flight management fee is CAD 100.00 + HST per tour.



Entry Requirements and Information

Visa

U.S. citizens are exempt from the eTA requirement and must carry proper identification such as a valid passport.

Passport

You should always make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months past the dates of travel.

Vaccinations
While no specific vaccinations are required, we recommend that your routine vaccinations are up to date and that you visit a local travel health clinic or doctor for advice prior to the trip. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they meet all requirements.

Zoom MeetingOnline Meet & Greet
Join the live, online meet and greet to meet your fellow travelers and your tour host.
This informal online get-together will happen shortly before your tour.

Weather
Expect and plan for cold weather in Quebec City in January. Temperatures will range from -7°C (19°F) to -15°C (5°F) with the possibility of snow.
Currency
The official currency in Canada is the Canadian Dollar (CAD or C$). Banknotes come in denominations of $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100. Coins come in denominations of Loonie, Toonie, 25¢ quarter, 10¢ dime and 5¢ nickel.

Credit and debit cards are commonly used and accepted across Canada. ATMs are widely available and are commonly found in banks, malls, stores, bars and restaurants. When you withdraw money through an ATM, you will get Canadian currency based on the conversion rate.

It is easy to exchange any foreign currencies into Canadian dollars at currency exchange kiosks. Currency exchange kiosks can be found at airports, shopping malls, border crossings and banks.
Electric Outlets
In Canada there are two associated plug types, type A and B. Type A plugs have two flat parallel pins and type B plugs have two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin. Canada operates on a 120V supply voltage and 60Hz.
