In the afternoon, depart by private coach for the Olgas and Sunset Tour. Visit the massive series of domes known as Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). The Olgas are a cluster of rounded massive rocks equally mysterious. “Katatjuta”, meaning many heads, is the Aboriginal name for the Olgas, and each of the 36 domes has a story in their mythology and significance in their beliefs. Many of the domes are as tall as Ayers Rock and rise commandingly above the desert landscape. Photographic stops are made on our way to the awesome Olga Gorge. The walking trail through Olga Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the domes of Kata Tjuta. Spend some time exploring the Gorge and the unusual rock formations. Return to the sunset viewing strip to see the Rock at its most dramatic. Here you will have the opportunity to photograph the striking colour changes that can take place in this majestic part of Australia while enjoying a glass of sparkling wine, juice and nibbles. When conditions are right, the Rock glows crimson for a few short minutes as the sun sets.
