Weather
Temperatures are usually pleasantly warm in Morocco in April. Expect lovely spring weather with temperatures averaging 25°C (77°F).
Currency
The local currency in Morocco is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD).

It is recommended currency be exchanged at the airport in Casablanca. Make sure you know the proper exchange rate and only accept cash not the bank card that they will try to give you. Sometimes, you can pick up or order Dirham’s from your local currency exchange and you are able to enter the country with 2000 DH/MAD.

ATMs are very common in Morocco. Cirrus and Plus system cards are the most widely accepted debit cards. There are no guarantees that your credit or debit cards will actually work in local ATMS, so it is important to check with your bank before departure and advisable to travel with more than one type of card.

Visa cards are the most widely accepted credit cards, but are generally only useful for larger/expensive purchases. Be aware when purchasing products or services on a credit card that a fee usually applies.
Electric Outlets
In Morocco there are two associated plug types, types C and E. Type C plugs have two round pins and type E plugs have two round pins and a hole for the socket’s male earthing pin. Morocco operates on a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz.

A universal all-in-one travel adapter (can be purchased from retailers like Amazon) will allow you to plug in and charge most electronic devices. Most electronic devices have built-in converters. However, if you plan to use North American appliances like hair dryers, flat irons or curling irons you will need a converter.
