Arrival Details
Arrive to Oaxaca, Mexico – Oaxaca International Airport (OAX) – at any time on or before the first day of the tour.
Departure Details
Depart from Oaxaca, Mexico – Oaxaca International Airport (OAX) – on the last day of the tour.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are included with your tour. You will be met at the airport. After you exit the secure area look for someone with a sign with either your name or the Women’s Travel Club.
 
If you have purchased your own pre-night or post night accommodations (not through the Women’s Travel Club) you will have to arrange your own airport transfer or take a taxi.

Flight BookingFlight Booking

The Women’s Travel Club recommends booking flexible or refundable air tickets when possible. Our package includes flights from Toronto, Canada.

Our flight management fee is CAD 200.00 + HST per tour.



Entry Requirements and Information

Visa

To enter Mexico, you must present a valid passport and a duly completed tourist card (Multiple Immigration Form). Carry documents to prove the purpose of trip, such as hotel or tour booking confirmations, as immigration officers may request them.

Passport

Your passport must be valid for the expected duration of your stay in Mexico.

Vaccinations

While no specific vaccinations are required, we recommend that your routine vaccinations are up to date and that you visit a local travel health clinic or doctor for advice prior to the trip. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they meet all requirements.

Weather
In October, Mexico is the transition from summer to winter, resulting in varying weather conditions across the country. The weather in Mexico in October is generally warm, although the temperatures can vary on the region. The average daily temperatures in Mexico in October can range between 20°C (68°F) and 28°C (82°F) However, the temperatures can be higher in coastal areas and lower in mountainous regions.
Currency

The official currency in Mexico is the Mexican Peso (MXN). Notes are in denominations of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 pesos. Coins are in denominations of 5, 10, 20 and 50 centavos and 1, 2, 5 and 10 pesos.
 
ATMs are available in all major cities and resort areas in Mexico.
 
Visa, Master Card and American Express are the most widely accepted credit cards in Mexico.
Electric Outlets
In Mexico there are two associated plug types, types A and B. Type A plugs have two flat parallel pins and type B plugs have two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin. Mexico operates on a 127V supply voltage and 60Hz.
 
A universal all-in-one travel adapter (can be purchased from retailers like Amazon) will allow you to plug in and charge most electronic devices. Most electronic devices have built-in converters. However, if you plan to use North American appliances like hair dryers, flat irons or curling irons you will need a converter.
