Arrival Details Arrive to Hanoi, Vietnam – Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) – at any time on or before the first day of the tour. | Departure Details Depart from Siem Reap, Cambodia – Siem Reap International Airport (REP) – at any time on the last day of the tour. | Airport Transfers Airport transfers are included with your tour. You will be met at the airport. After you exit the secure area look for someone with a sign with either your name or the Women’s Travel Club. If you have purchased your own pre-night or post-night accommodations (not through the Women’s Travel Club) you will have to arrange your own airport transfers or take a taxi. |

Visa
VIETNAM:
Canadian and U.S. citizens need a visa to travel to Vietnam. You can apply for your visa online at: Vietnam e-visa (https://www.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn)
CAMBODIA:
Canadian and U.S. citizens need a visa to travel to Cambodia. Visas can be obtained in person at the border crossing when the tour enters Cambodia (Bavet, Svay Ring Province).
You will need a valid passport with at least one blank page, a recent passport photo and the fee. The fee is $30 USD (subject to change) plus an approximate $5 to $15 stamping fee (fee depends on the officials mood of the day!).
Passport
You should always make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months past the dates of travel.
Vaccinations
While no specific vaccinations are required, we recommend that your routine vaccinations are up to date and that you visit a local travel health clinic or doctor for advice prior to the trip. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they meet all requirements.
Please note that in Cambodia proof of vaccination is required if you are coming from or have transited through an airport of a country where Yellow Fever occurs.

Weather In February, the weather in Vietnam and Cambodia is quite pleasant. The average temperature is about 27°C (80°F), which makes February an ideal month for travel. You can enjoy warm weather in southern Vietnam and Cambodia with little or no rain. | Currency VIETNAM: The official currency is the Vietnamese Dong. Currency is divided into denominations of VND 1000, VND 2000, VND 5000, VND 10,000, VND 20,000. Since polymer money was put into use starting in 2003, now only paper notes with a value of VND 1,000, VND 2,000 and VND 5,000 are still valid in Vietnam. For easy conversion purposes, $1 USD is approximately equal to 25,000 Vietnamese Dong. Credit cards are widely accepted for larger purchases (can be difficult with smaller amounts) with Visa and MasterCard being the most popular. Do not expect to be able to use American Express widely. ATMs are available in most areas. Confirm with your bank that your ATM card can be used internationally. CAMBODIA: The official currency in Cambodia is the Cambodian Riel. Riel notes come in denominations of 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000 riel. US Dollars are also widely accepted almost everywhere in Cambodia. ATMs are common in urban areas and dispense US Dollars. Credit cards are accepted at most upscale hotels, shops and restaurants, some mid-range places and a growing number of other businesses with Visa and Mastercard being the most widely accepted. Credit cards may not be accepted at businesses outside of urban areas. | Electric Outlets In Vietnam there are three associated plug types, types A, C and F. Type A plugs have two flat parallel pins, type C plugs have two round pins and type F plugs have two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Vietnam operates on a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz. In Cambodia there are three associated plug types, types A, C and G. Type A plugs have two flat parallel pins, type C plugs have two round pins and type G plugs have three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern. Cambodia operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. A universal all-in-one travel adapter (can be purchased from retailers like Amazon) will allow you to plug in and charge most electronic devices. Most electronic devices have built-in converters. However, if you plan to use North American appliances like hair dryers, flat irons or curling irons you will need a converter. |
