Arrival Details

Arrive to Singapore - Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) - at any time on or before first day of tour. Transfer to Paradox Singapore Merchant Court. 

Departure Details

Depart from Penang - Penang International Airport (PEN) - at any time on last day of tour. Depart from Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa.

Airport Transfers

Group airport transfers are included with your tour on the first and last day of the tour. You will be met by a driver at the airport. After you exit the secure area look for someone with a sign with either your name or the Women's Travel Club. The driver's wait time is up to 1 hour after flights have arrived. If you cannot find the driver, please contact: (+65) 96695491 OR (+65) 97876095 (World Express Singapore).

Flight Information

The Women’s Travel Club recommends booking flexible/refundable air tickets when possible. Please do not book flights until your tour status is guaranteed. Once your flights are booked please enter your flight information on the pre-travel form above.

If you would like assistance booking international flights for your tour please use the form below. The Women’s Travel Club Flight Desk will work with you to arrange the best options.

Our Flight management fee is CAD 100.00 + HST, per tour.

Entry Requirements

Visa
For Canadian and U.S. citizens, a tourist visa is not required for stays of up to 30 days in Singapore and 90 days in Malaysia.

 

Passport
You should always make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months past the dates of travel. At least two blank pages required for entry stamp.

 

Vaccinations
While no specific vaccinations are required, we recommend that your routine vaccinations are up to date and that you visit a local travel health clinic or doctor for advice prior to the trip.

 

Please note that in Malaysia proof of vaccination is required if you are coming from or have transited through an airport of a country where Yellow Fever occurs.

 

The Women's Travel Club recommends travelers to be fully vaccinated against COVID. Some countries will require COVID vaccination to enter, it is the traveler's resposibility to insure they meet all requirements.

Travelers are recommended to download the MySejahtera application before departure or after arrival to Malaysia to indicate their COVID-19 risk status while staying in Malaysia. Travelers no longer need to complete the features of the Traveler's Card in the MySejahtera application.

 

All travelers must submit a health declaration before arrival in Singapore..

Travelers can submit their electronic health declaration 3 days before arrival. Travelers must complete every item in this health declaration card and submit it to the Officer-in-Charge on disembarkation.

Weather

Singapore is hot and humid all year-round, with temperatures usually reaching over 30°C. Be prepared for rain at any time, which can be torrential, but usually brief.

Malaysia has a warm tropical climate with average daily temperatures ranging between 23°C and 32°C . Be prepared for and expect rain no matter what time of year.

Currency

Currency - Singapore:

The official currency of Singapore is the Singapore dollar (SGD). Notes come in denominations of S$2, S$5, S$10, S$50, S$100, S$1,000 and S$10,000. Coins come in 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents and S$1.

Credit cards are widely accepted in restaurants, bars, shops, hotels and taxis in Singapore. American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are widely accepted. Some businesses may only accept cash.

ATMs are widespread and many will accept cards from overseas banks. Confirm with your bank that your debit card will work internationally. 

Currency - Malaysia:

The official currency in Malaysia is the Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Bank notes come in denominations of RM1, RM5, RM10, RM20, RM50 and RM100. Coins come in denominations of 5 sen, 10 sen, 20 sen and 50 sen.

Hotels, shopping complexes, most restaurants and shops accept international credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club.

ATM's are widely available in cities and towns. Confirm with your bank that your debit card will work internationally.

Electric Outlets

In Singapore there are three associated plug types, types C, G and MType C plugs have two round pins, type G plugs have three rectangular pins and a triangular pattern and type M plugs have three round pins. Singapore operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

In Malaysia the associated plug is type is G. Type G plugs have three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern. Malaysia operates on a 240V supply voltage and 50Hz.

A universal all-in-one travel adapter (can be purchased from retailers like Amazon) will allow you to plug in and charge most electronic devices. Most electronic devices have built-in converters. However, if you plan to use North American appliances like hair dryers, flat irons or curling irons you will need a converter.
