Weather

The Aegean and Mediterranean coasts have mild winters and hot summers. Typically, daytime temperatures reach 80°F (27°C) and may drop to 60°F (16°C) in the evening. Sea breezes tend to keep shore areas cooler than inland. Pack layers of clothing to remain comfortable in the day and warmer in the evening.

Currency

Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece use the Euro (€/EUR) as their currency. Coins come in denominations of 2€, 1€ and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 cents. Notes or bills are differentiated by their size and colour and come in denominations of 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 euros.

ATMs are widely available in larger cities in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. Most ATMs accept standard international credit and debit cards.

Credit cards are widely accepted with Visa and Mastercard being the most popular in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece.

Electric Outlets

Voltage is standard 110/220 on all Windstar ships. Special converters are needed using the Europlug (two round pins) standard. Guests will need to bring their own travel adaptors as they are not available on board. For your convenience, there is a hair dryer in each stateroom or suite. There are only 110v US plugs on Wind Spirit.

A universal all-in-one travel adapter (can be purchased from retailers like Amazon) will allow you to plug in and charge most electronic devices. Most electronic devices have built-in converters. However, if you plan to use North American appliances like hair dryers, flat irons or curling irons you will need a converter.
