Zanzibar Know as the Spice Island the beautiful island of Zanzibar conjures images of perfect, palm-swayed beaches, white sand, billowing sailing boats and smiling locals. The jewel of Africa's 3,500km Swahili Coast, as a base for traders from the African Lakes region, India, and the Arabian peninsula, Zanzibar became a long key hub on ancient trade routes: slaves, spices, ivory and more all passed through Zanzibar, bound from the continent for Arabia and beyond. This lead to Zanzibar becoming a cultural melting pot – still in evidence today, in the Omani-style buildings, in the polyglot Kiswahili language and the diverse dishes on the restaurant menus. All this together makes Zanzibar a fabulous place to explore as well as a dream to relax and unwind.
Sunset cruise in Zanzibar is an exciting experience as you will get a good glimpse of wonderful scenes of the Indian Ocean, along the Stone Town shore line as you sail in a traditional Arabian Dhow. Get to Enjoy a Memorable, soothing evening with light sea breeze as the sun sinks into the Indian ocean starting to paint the town with its pastel amazing colors, taking the sea view passing around house of wonders, palace museum, old dispensary, custom house etc.

Follow the trail of the sultans, slaves and explorers in the winding streets of Stone Town. Your guide will tell you about the events that shaped Zanzibar, leading you through the buildings where it all happened, such as the former Slave Market and Anglican Cathedral. While tracing the steps of the past, the walking tour provides you with a window into modern life in Stone Town. Explore the markets, seafood and fish piled in the fish market, fresh loaves of bread in wicker baskets and neat stacks of fruit and vegetables as traders sell their wares from their stalls. Children play in the streets in the residential areas, 'mamas' sit outside and gossip while the men play board games.
In the afternoon, In the afternoon, transfer for Lunch in the Rooftop Tea House Restaurant. The highest rooftop Tea House restaurant in Zanzibar is located in Emerson on Hurumzi Hotel and has breathtaking 360° views of Stonetown and the Indian Ocean. Seating is on cushions by a low table or on regular height seats, all with views over Stone Town and the sea. In the afternoon, different lunch platters, either with a variety of vegetarian, fish or seafood dishes are prepared by the chefs.
Thereafter proceed for the Spice Tour which takes you to Zanzibar's organic natural side of Tropical Spice Garden, Taste and dazzle seasonal spices and a variety of fresh fruits. In days past, Zanzibar was known as a spice island, exporting cloves, vanilla, nutmeg and cardamom to the world. The spices were brought over from Asia and South America and flourished in Zanzibar's tropical climate. Nowadays the plantations are a tribute to the island's past, swapping spices for tourism and combining both in a spice tour, one of the most popular excursions on the island. Walk through the spice farm with your guide; touch, smell and taste different spices and tropical fruits. Try to guess one spice or fruit from the other, from the crushed leaves, the fruit, shoots, vines and creepers crawling up the trees. Learn about their properties, their origins and their use as medicines and in food and drink. A visit to a spice farm village gives you an insight into local life and the opportunity to try some Swahili dishes, taste the fruits in season and try some spiced tea. Depending on the season you are visiting, you can find anything from vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, lemon grass, cloves, ylang ylang, cumin, garlic, ginger, coriander, pepper, allspice, tamarind, chilli, oregano and more!
