Women's Travel Club Baltic Cruise & Tour
Day 1 - Arrive Copenhagen

Welcome to Copenhagen!
Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, sits on the coastal islands of Zealand and Amager. It’s linked to Malmo in southern Sweden by the Öresund Bridge. Indre By, the city's historic center, contains Frederiksstaden, an 18th-century rococo district, home to the royal family’s Amalienborg Palace. Nearby is Christiansborg Palace and the Renaissance-era Rosenborg Castle, surrounded by gardens and home to the crown jewels.
You will be met at the airport upon arrival and transferred to our hotel. Settle in and start to explore as time allows. We will meet for a welcome dinner tonight and then enjoy a boat tour on the canal and a visit to Tivoli Gardens. See the spectacular sights of Copenhagen from the city’s picturesque canals on a 1-hour water cruise of the Danish capital that includes priority access to the Tivoli Gardens. Climb aboard your sightseeing boat and set sail on the winding waterways of the city; glide past the iconic The Little Mermaid statue and gaze at the regal resplendence of Amalienborg Palace as you pass. Capture photographs of the quaint Christianshavn district and then head to the immensely entertaining Tivoli park to make the most of your skip-the-line ticket. Ride on exhilarating roller coasters and gentle carousels and absorb the festive atmosphere of the carnival.

Day 2 - Grand North Zealand Tour

After Breakfast we will begin our tour. On this tour, we will visit the most important sights outside Copenhagen, while spending a nice day with our own bus at our own pace.
If you love beautiful historic interiors, china, porcelain, paintings and the very best of Renaissance architecture and craftsmanship, surrounded by a beautiful baroque garden, this is the tour for you. The tour will take us along the Beautiful Danish Riviera and through the most exclusive residential areas in Denmark. We will drive through the lush and green North Zealand, the King's Playground for centuries. We will make an inside visit to the magnificent Frederiksborg Castle, and you will Taste Denmark on a lunch break during the tour, and maybe try the Danish Open-faced sandwiches "Smørrebrød". We will make a photo stop at the Queen of Denmark's summer residence, Fredensborg Palace and then make a photo stop at Hamlets Castle, Kronborg Castle. During the tour you will hear about Modern Day Denmark, Denmark during World War II, the tax system, and why the Danes have been voted The Happiest People in the World. After the Castle visits, we will return to Copenhagen to our hotel.

Day 3 - Copenhagen City Tour and Ship Embarkation

Please have your bags packed and after breakfast we will begin our second tour. Today we will enjoy a tour to explore the most significant parts of Copenhagen. We see both the medieval part of town, but also take advantage of having a bus at our disposal and see the things that are a little further out - like the hippie community Christiania. We will explore the origins of Copenhagen, the era of the powerful kings, the reformation, the birth of democracy and not least the modern life as it takes place in this old city, be it architectural high-lights, hippies or new parts of town emerging. Our tour will end approximately 2:30pm and we will be dropped off with our luggage at the Cruise Ship.

Day 4 - Oslo

After a warm meet & greet, an Oslo panoramic drive takes us on a scenic sightseeing tour along the harborside and past the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, Akershus Fortress and the inventive Oslo Barcode buildings. We will then enjoy a walk through the artworks of sculptor Gustav Vigeland at Frogner Park. The life-size granite and bronze statues exhibited are a pageant of mankind's many faces and phases, each one telling a story. You will also learn of one of the world's greatest Viking treasures on the Bygdøy peninsula. The extraordinary burial boats and artifacts from ship burials around the Oslo Fjord in the Viking Ship Museum date back to the 9th century. This is an incredibly immersive experience of the Viking era, before a sky-high photo stop on top of the Holmenkollen Hill. Here, the true beauty of Oslo is palpable and you will experience the stunning landscape of gently sloping hills and sea surrounding this Nordic gem. Once back to the historic Oslo center, we will pause for some free time of coffee and shopping before an outside visit of the City Hall and strolling the pedestrian street of Karl Johans gate. Our day of Oslo discoveries comes to an end back to the cruise port.
