Day 1
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour

 

Welcome to Alaska!

Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the Taste of Alaska Lodge, your home for the next two evenings. A welcome dinner will be awaiting the travel group on arrival.

Day 2
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Trail Breaker Kennels

 

Fairbanks

Today the group explores Fairbanks and discovers more about the area. Start the morning with the Riverboat Discovery tour before free time in downtown Fairbanks and grabbing lunch on your own. This afternoon, visit the world renowned Fairbanks Museum at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Tonight enjoy a private dinner experience with Dave Munson and Trail Breaker Kennels. This evening guests will learn about the Iditarod Trail and Race along with his famous musher wife, the late Susan Butcher. Have a chance to see dog sledding in action before snuggling the adorable puppies for photos.

Day 3
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Denali National Park

 

Fairbanks to Denali

Join the Alaska Railroad and experience the GoldStar domed cars this morning to travel from Fairbanks to Denali. Breakfast will be served onboard during this trek south. Upon arrival into Denali, enjoy a private lunch with James Beard nominee, Chef Laura Cole. Thrills await this afternoon as guests choose an adventure that suites their appetite including a helicopter flight over Mount Denali, rafting or ATV adventures.

Day 4
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Denali National Park

 

Denali National Park

Today guests experience the gem of Alaska and often times focus of the visit to Alaska. Early this morning following breakfast, board the Denali National Park service buses to travel into the heart of Denali National park. The goal is to have the guests on one of the first buses into the park ensuring prime wildlife.

Travel 95 miles into the heart of Denali National park to the furthest point available for visitors enjoying lunch before returning out. Whilst a long day for visitors (12 hours), it is entirely worth it to make the full trek into the park. Upon return, guests will enjoy dinner at the hotel prior to retiring from the long day.

Day 5
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Talkeetna

 

Denali National Park to Talkeetna

After a long day, enjoy a relaxing morning before heading south to Talkeetna. This after, enjoy the Alaska Railroad once more including the GoldStar experience, this time with lunch. Upon arrival into Talkeetna, check into the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. Dinner this evening will be served at guests’ leisure at a local favorite, the Denali Brewing Company.

Day 6
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Mahay's Jet Boat Adventures

 

Talkeetna

This morning guests enjoy breakfast at the hotel before boarding the unforgettable experience including beauty and vast remote wilderness on a five hour river tour with Mahay’s Jet Boat Adventures. The 130 mile round trip river excursion through Denali State Park and into the nationally registered Wild River Park of “Devil’s Gorge” will offer a safe, dry and comfortable way to experience whitewater adventures in Alaska.

Please note these are covered and enclosed jet boats (Lunch served onboard.) Return this afternoon to enjoy take part in an exclusive pie baking experience with Trisha, the owner of the Talkeetna Roadhouse and rumored to be the best baker in Alaska. Continue south for the short trip to Knik River Lodge, overlooking the scenic Knik River valley, enjoying dinner on arrival.

Day 7
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Alaska Peony Farms

 

Knik River to Seward

This morning, guests will enjoy breakfast before heading south to Seward. In route, guests will stop at one of Alaska’s most hidden treasures, the peony farms. Continue south for lunch overlooking the Kenai River before arriving Seward. Overnight at the Seward Windsong Lodge, enjoy a bit of free time before a private dinner and experience at the Seward SeaLife center. Check into your Seward home for the evening.

Day 8
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Kenai Fjords National park

 

Seward to Homer

Enjoy breakfast before heading out on a tour this morning visiting Kenai Fjords National park. This experience will highlight the park’s beauty, wonders and marine wildlife with lunch served onboard. This afternoon, continue down the Kenai Peninsula to Homer, also known as where the Alaskans go to vacation.

Stop at the Bear Creek Winery on the way into Homer for an exclusive tasting experience of the local specialties and the opportunity to take your own home with you. Overnight at The Aspen Hotel and Suites, your home for the next two evenings.

Day 9
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Homer

 

Homer

Breakfast will be served this morning at the hotel and the rest of the day is free for guests to enjoy as they wish. Optional activities may be booked at discretion of guests including fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, fly out bear viewing or kayaking. Lunch will be enjoyed at their leisure. Regroup for dinner this evening for dinner before returning to the hotel for a second overnight.

Day 10
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Anchorage

 

Anchorage

Enjoy breakfast and the ocean views before returning north on Turnagain Arm to Anchorage. Stop in route at Alyeska this afternoon for lunch. Arrive back in Anchorage for a free afternoon downtown before a farewell dinner overlooking Turnagain arm. Overnight at the Hotel Captain Cook, located in the heart of downtown Anchorage.

Day 11
Women's Travel Club Alaskan Tour - Northern Lights

Breakfast will be included at your hotel. Transportation to the airport provided based on flight departure time. Alternatively, transportation will be provided to Whittier if members are boarding Princess cruiseship for our Alaskan Cruise
