Arrival Details

Arrive to Bangkok, Thailand - Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) - at any time on or before first day of tour.

Departure Details

Depart from Phuket, Thailand - Phuket International Airport (HKT) - at any time on last day of tour.

Airport Transfers

Airport transfers are included and will be arranged based on your flight arrival and departure times. You will be met at the airport. After you exit the secure area look for someone with a sign with either your name or the Women's Travel Club. 

 

If you have purchased your own pre-night or post night accommodations (not through the Women's Travel Club) you will have to arrange your own airport transfer or take a taxi.

Flight Information

The Women’s Travel Club recommends booking flexible/refundable air tickets when possible. Please do not book flights until your tour status is guaranteed. Once your flights are booked please enter your flight information on the pre-travel form above.

If you would like assistance booking international flights for your tour please use the form below. The Women’s Travel Club Flight Desk will work with you to arrange the best options.

Our Flight management fee is CAD 100.00 + HST, per tour.

Entry Requirements

Visa

For Canadian and U.S. citizens, a tourist visa is not required for stays of up to 30 days in Thailand.

 

Passport

You should always make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months past the dates of travel.

 

Vaccinations
While no specific vaccinations are required, we recommend that your routine vaccinations are up to date and that you visit a local travel health clinic or doctor for advice prior to the trip.

 

Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required if you are coming from or have transited through an airport of a country where yellow fever occurs.

 

The Women's Travel Club recommends travelers to be fully vaccinated against COVID. Some countries will require COVID vaccination to enter, it is the traveler's resposibility to insure they meet all requirements.

Weather

Days are usually hot with balmy evenings, so visitors should pack light and cool clothing. The average daily maximum is 31°C (88°F) and the average daily minimum is 24°C (75°F).

Currency

The official currency in Thailand is the Thai Baht. It’s divided into 100 satang. Coins come in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 10 baht. Notes comes in denominations of 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 baht. You may happen to see a 10 baht note, but these are no longer printed. Baht are further broken down into satang with 100 satang per 1 baht. Currently there are only 25 and 50 satang coins and satang are rarely used in transactions. It’s recommended that any currency you carry be clean, crisp, undamaged notes. Cash is the preferred method of payment in Thailand.

ATMs are plentiful in Thailand.

All major credit cards are widely accepted in large businesses, hotels and restaurants. However, smaller stores and cafes do not accept credit cards.

Electric Outlets

In Thailand there are four associated plug types, types A, B, C and O. Type A plugs have two flat parallel pins, type B plugs have two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin, type C plugs have two round pins and type O plugs have two round pins and a round earth pin. Thailand operates on a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz.
 
A universal all-in-one travel adapter (can be purchased from retailers like Amazon) will allow you to plug in and charge most electronic devices. Most electronic devices have built-in converters. However, if you plan to use North American appliances like hair dryers, flat irons or curling irons you will need a converter.
