Arrive to Winnipeg, Manitoba - Winnipeg James Armstrong International Airport (YWG) - any time on or before first day of tour.

Departure Details

Depart from Winnipeg, Manitoba - Winnipeg James Armstrong International Airport (YWG) - anytime on last day of tour.

Airport Transfers

Airport transfers are not included with your tour, but are not necessary as the first and last night’s hotel (Lakeview Signature, Trademark Collection by Wyndham) is located across the street from the Winnipeg James Armstrong International Airport (YWG).

Flight Information

The Women’s Travel Club recommends booking flexible/refundable air tickets when possible. Please do not book flights until your tour status is guaranteed. Once your flights are booked please enter your flight information on the pre-travel form above.

Our Flight management fee is CAD 100.00 + HST, per tour.

Entry Requirements

Visa

U.S. citizens are exempt from the eTA requirement and must carry proper identification such as a valid U.S. passport.

 

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

 

Passport

You should always make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months past the dates of travel.

 

Vaccinations
While no specific vaccinations are required, we recommend that your routine vaccinations are up to date and that you visit a local travel health clinic or doctor for advice prior to the trip.

 

The Women's Travel Club recommends travelers to be fully vaccinated against COVID. Some countries will require COVID vaccination to enter, it is the traveler's resposibility to insure they meet all requirements.

Weather

The average maximum daytime temperature in Churchill in October lies at 1.6°C (34.9°F). The average minimum temperature goes down to around -3.8°C (25.2°F). There is a good chance for snow.

Currency

The official currency in Canada is the Canadian Dollar (CAD or C$). Banknotes come in denominations of $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100. Coins come in denominations of Loonie, Toonie, 25¢ quarter, 10¢ dime and 5¢ nickel.

Credit and debit cards are commonly used and accepted across Canada. ATMs are widely available and are commonly found in banks, malls, stores, bars and restaurants. When you withdraw money through an ATM, you will get Canadian currency based on the conversion rate.

It is easy to exchange any foreign currencies into Canadian dollars at currency exchange kiosks. Currency exchange kiosks can be found at airports, shopping malls, border crossings and banks.

Electric Outlets

In Canada there are two associated plug types, types A and BType A plugs have two flat parallel pins and type B plugs have two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin. Canada operates on a 120V supply voltage and 60Hz.
